Globaltraded.com Zurich — Xovis AG, the Swiss-based leader in intelligent people flow management, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Export Award by Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE). Recognized for its remarkable growth and innovative use of technology, Xovis continues to solidify its position as a global frontrunner in managing people flows across various sectors.
Founded in 2008, Xovis has quickly ascended to become a key player in the field of people flow management. The company’s cutting-edge sensors, designed and manufactured exclusively in Switzerland, utilize artificial intelligence to monitor and analyze the movement of individuals in real time. This technology has wide-ranging applications, from reducing wait times at airports to optimizing staffing in retail environments and managing passenger flows in transportation systems.
The company’s success is evident in its strong financial performance, with an annual growth rate of approximately 20% and revenues exceeding CHF 30 million. Impressively, 95% of Xovis’s sales are generated outside of Switzerland, underscoring its global reach. The company’s headquarters in Zollikofen, Canton of Bern, oversees the operations of its 140 employees and manages data from over 300,000 sensors installed worldwide.
Xovis is now planning further expansion, with a new branch office slated to open in Berlin, complementing its existing presence in Boston. “Our strategy focuses on penetrating new markets by targeting large-scale projects and forging partnerships in retail, smart buildings, and transportation,” said Denis Ranke, CFO/COO of Xovis. “These initiatives serve as entry points that allow us to establish a foothold in local markets and foster additional growth through our partner network.”
The 2024 Export Award was presented to Xovis by Ruth Metzler-Arnold, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors at S-GE, during a ceremony at the International Trade Forum in Zurich. The award, determined by an independent jury, recognizes Xovis’s customer-centric approach, high-quality offerings, and scalable solutions that have enabled the company to achieve rapid growth, even in newly developed market segments.
“Xovis’s commitment to innovation and quality has allowed it to become a leader in the global market for people flow management,” noted Ralph Siegl, President of the Jury. “Their ability to consistently deliver scalable solutions across various sectors is a testament to their strategic vision and operational excellence.”
In addition to Xovis, other finalists for the 2024 Export Award included the Giubiasco-based Lombardi Group and the NÜSSLI Group from Hüttwilen. However, it was Xovis’s impressive global reach and sustained growth that ultimately earned them the top honor.
As Xovis continues to expand its global footprint, the company remains committed to leveraging Swiss precision and innovation to solve complex challenges in people flow management. With plans to double its turnover in the next two to three years, Xovis is poised to further enhance its influence in the global marketplace.
